Q: When does my puppy/kitten need to be vaccinated for the first time?

A: We recommend starting vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age and continuing booster vaccines until the age of 16-18 weeks old.  This is because the puppy’s maternal antibodies which provide immunity decreases starting at six weeks of age and by 16 weeks, it is gone.  Boostering vaccines every 3-4 weeks helps your pet build a stronger immunity against diseases.
