Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital Celebrates Senior Health Month with a Special Offer

graph depicting the difference in age of pets and people

Pet’s, on average, age 5 to 7 years for every one of ours. Perhaps your furry pal has stopped greeting you at the door, or just doesn’t hear you like he or she used to. You may have noticed some weight gain, weight loss, hair loss, or an increased sleeping pattern. While these things may seem like normal “old age changes” to you, the fact is that any or all of these signs may be an indication that your pet has a medical problem that is not yet evident, and needs treatment before the problem becomes more serious.

In the past, we may have accepted a declining quality of life for our aging pets as a fact of life of which we had no control. Thanks to advances in disease detection, prevention, and treatment, that is no longer necessary!  With appropriate veterinary care and nutrition, your pet’s senior years can be healthy and happy times.

Your four-legged, family member has given you a priceless gift of life and love. Now that he or she has earned senior status, you have an opportunity to give something back: the special love and care that can make his or her “golden” years happy and healthy. Here at Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital® we offer a complete medical work-up for senior pets which includes:

  • A Complete Physical Exam
  • Blood Chemistry Profile, Electrolytes and a Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Thyroid Testing
  • Urinalysis
  • EKG (Electrocardiogram) if indicated
  • Radiographs

September is National Senior Health Month and in honor of this special time, we are offering our complete senior work-up at 20% off the regular price. This is a work-up that takes several hours, so you will need to drop off your pet in the morning and return to pick him or her up after 5:00pm the same afternoon.  When you return to Claws & Paws after his or her work-up, you will have a short appointment with the Doctor to discuss any findings, recommendations and to answer any questions you may have.

Please take a few moments to complete this checklist and it will be received by us electronically. Or, if you prefer you can print it using the image to the right to bring with you to your appointment. Please call to set up an appointment, as we have a limited availability for this program each day and the demand for it is high.
