Plastic Easter Eggs & Candy

New Hope Church, which Dr. Wickel and several other staff members attends, is collecting plastic Easter Eggs, just like what is pictured to the right. The church is currently working on plans to hold multiple small Easter egg hunts for children in the Pearland, Manvel, Friendswood and Webster communities.

As part of their Easter Service Project, New Hope Church is trying to make a difference in how kids enjoy, celebrate and view Easter, and being able to provide a fun Easter egg hunt for as many kids as possible in Pearland and surrounding areas. We want to help New Hope attain their goals by spreading the word and collecting some great eggs and candy ourselves.

Easter egg hunts will be open to the community, not just to church members. They are looking for regular-sized, plastic Easter Eggs, to be filled with non-melting candy. This means “no chocolate”. We are particularly happy about the “no chocolate” because if eggs are not found at the time of the hunt buy later found by animals, it could be very harmful to them. We are happy to be a drop-off location to collect eggs & candy.

Please consider dropping off new or gently used plastic eggs at Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital starting today. As these are collected, we’ll deliver them directly to New Hope Church. If you are able to donate unopened bags of candy to stuff them, that would be awesome. It will save a lot of time, not to mention money for the church. They are trying to reach the local communities, and we’d like to help. And, we’re hoping you do too. We will be collecting these through Friday, March 31st. We will collect them as long as we are receiving donations and the church wants them.
