Mobile App Issues

For those of you that have the Claws & Paws Veterinary Hospital® Mobile App, you may have noticed over the past couple of months a “glitch” or two. We would like to let you know that we know about these issues and have been able to address all of them and the App is now fully functioning as it should be.

While we were working on a solution to these issues, we also made additional changes and additions to the app for ease of use.

If you are an iPhone user, you may or may not have had any issues; depending on the iPhone you have…iPhone 5 works fine, but iPhone 4 and earlier had issues. The issues specifically, were that while all tabs still worked, they did not provide text as to what each tab was (see image to the right).

If you are an Android user, you may have noticed that the Photo tab was not working properly. This was actually a change made by Flickr, which is the photo-sharing site we use for our app. They upgraded their service, and in doing so, it caused a communication issue with our App. We have made changes to our Mobile App script and it now works properly, with all photo albums displayed.

These major issues have been addressed and if you update your Mobile App through the Android Play or Apple iTunes store, you should see an improvement in the Mobile App performance. If a simple update does not correct this issue, please uninstall and then reinstall the app and it will fix it for sure.

Other changes you will see, aside from the mobile app issues above, are a new Icon on your home screen and the ability to place an order through the Mobile App, which you can then pick up in the clinic. You can either pay when you pick your item(s) up, or you can make payment through the Mobile App itself and simply pick your item up. Just give us about an hour to prepare your order. This should make any stop at Claws & Paws for product pickup a quicker process. Items currently available to purchase through the App include Food, Flea & Tick Preventative, Heartworm Preventative and Dental Products.
