Associate Veterinarian

Welcome Dr. Annelise Nicoletti. It’s no secret that Dr. Alex Brenk left recently and we have been searching diligently for a new veterinarian. We are happy to announce the arrival of Dr. Annelise Nicoletti. Dr. Nicoletti is a graduate of Kansas State University and joined us as of October 1st. We are excited that she has joined the Claws & Paws family and she can’t wait to meet each of you and your babies.

Many clients have asked us to search for a veterinarian that can see exotic pets, such as Ball Pythons. We listened and we are excited that Dr. Nicoletti has a special interest in exotic pets and is excited to see your babies. Call and schedule your pet’s appointment with her today at 281.997.1426.

Dr. Annelise Nicoletti grew up in Katy, TX and knew she wanted to be a vet from a very early age. Her love of animals of all kinds was undeniable and as early as preschool she knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian. After years in Future Farmers of America (FFA) raising farm animals she started her path to vet school with an intended emphasis on farm animals. Nacogdoches soon called and she headed to Stephen F Austin.

After graduating with her Bachelors of Science she headed even further north to attend Kansas State University for veterinary school, or K-State for short. At K-State she learned that she loved companion animals and exotics more than farm animals. With the love of exotics, she would soon cross paths with a Houston veterinarian with whom she mentored in 2018. She has always shown an interest in shelter medicine and rescue work and has been volunteering with rescues in various leadership and foster roles since 2011.

Dr. Nicoletti has several adopted fur babies of her own, as well as a snake and a tortoise. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, donating her time to non-profit organizations, traveling, and scuba diving.
