Technician (Credentialed)

Emily is a Pearland native. She acquired most of her education in PISD, but she graduated from Clear Springs High School. Emily attended The Vet Tech Institute of Houston, where she obtained her degree in animal science in 2015. She became an LVT in 2017.

Emily’s passion for animals stems from as early as kindergarten when she told her mother she wanted to be a farmer. She has since realized that her real passion is in companion animals. She has participated in the Houston Cat Show as a volunteer and as a contestant with her cats (now retired) in the household division.

Emily enjoys the outdoors and likes to be a part of her community. She can often be found at the farmers market, fun runs, and other community events, as both a participant and a volunteer. Emily is huge Star Wars and sci-fi fan you can guarantee that is what she is watching on TV. Also, in her spare time, she likes to spend time with her son, Tobias, swim, read, and cook. Her furry family includes her senior felines, Dusty (DLH), Ulysses (DSH), and her terrier mix, Scamp.

Emily enjoys learning as much as she does the teaching. She looks forward to learning and growing at Claws and Paws, so she can aid in the quality care of your furry (or not so furry) family.
