Thank you for visiting out Project Bulldog page. We’re glad you did. In 2018, we lost our dear friend and co-worker, William “Willie” Wickel (pictured here). Willie was a man of generous spirit and will be remembered, in part, for the countless times he helped those in need. To honor his memory, the staff of Claws & Paws started Project Bulldog. As many of you know, Dr. Julie Wickel and her husband Willie, have owned bulldogs for many years. So, Project Bulldog seemed like the perfect name!
Project Bulldog is an ongoing community aid project that serves to help us as a staff heal, as we mourn our loss. But more importantly, it allows us the opportunity to pay forward the kindness and generosity that many of us had the privilege of experiencing and witnessing before Willie’s passing. Keep an eye out for our projects, and we will keep you posted on what we’re doing. We hope you’ll join us!
We are lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know such a wonderful person. He is greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Our latest project is a Community Easter Egg Hunt. You can read more about it on our flyer by Easter-Flyer.
The Claws & Paws staff will be assembling 250 care packages for the Christian Motorcycle Association to distribute to the homeless. We will be assembling them during our staff’s Christmas Party in honor of Claws & Paws owner, co-worker and friend, Willie Wickel, who passed away earlier this year. We are asking for your help to collect the items needed for these care packages. Want to help, but don’t have time to go shopping and come to our clinic? Please check out our Homeless Care Package Amazon Wish List containing items for these care packages. To see the full list of items needed and for a printable copy of our list, please click HERE.
Deadline for items: Tuesday, December 11th.
