Ty was born in Longview Texas and lived on a horse farm for 12 years and learned how to ride horses at two years old. She moved to Pearland at the age of twelve and ended up going through ninth and tenth grade. Her freshman year was at Turner High School as part of the first freshman class at that school. She moved back to Longview after sophomore year of high school and attended Longview High School where she continued in FFA and was elected treasurer.
Ty participated in many different shows, raised a pig, and won second at four state fairs in Arkansas. She expanded what she did in the FFA with competitions such as horse judging, LDE (Leadership Development Events) contest, meat judging. She and her team went to state competition at Texas A&M where the top 50 schools go to compete.
Ty started her first high school rodeo team and then volunteered at the FFA convention 2016 High School rodeo finals where she stayed for 21 hour. She started training horses when she was just 16, at a friends grandparent’s breeding ranch, and at her family’s horse farm. She graduated from Longview High School High School in 2017. She also earned six college hours during her time at high school.
Ty is currently trying to get into Tarleton State University, where she plans to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and the transfer to Texas A&M for a Doctorate degree. She is asked all the time about her height, which is about ‘’6’1”. She has four brothers, one older and three younger. Ty has a beautiful, half Quarter-half Arabian, proud cut, male horse who is about sixteen and a half hands tall that she has had since she was seventeen. She is currently working to get him down to Pearland from Lufkin. She is a self-proclaimed Tomboy and she’s not afraid to work hard and get a bit of dirt under her nails. In her spare time, she works as an apprentice at the tattoo parlor, Black List.
